Three Village Football Facts

What Is The Goal Of Three Village Youth Football?

Our goal is to develop young boys and girls in a safe, nurturing environment that teaches football skills, and builds a winning positive attitude along with raising the self-esteem of all our participants. At this level it is imperitive that children are taught to try to reach their fullest potential, both on and off the field, emphasizing dedication, character development, competitiveness, good sportsmanship and the importance of academics. Ultimately, we will develop better student athletes preparing them for their young adult life and for participation in our high school football program if they desire to continue as a high school athlete. It is NOT all about the “win”.

How Is Three Village Youth Football Structured?

Three Village Wildcat Football is a Non-Profit organization consisting of a board of directors, commissioners and coaching staffs for both flag and tackle football, along with volunteer chairpersons to support ongoing functions and requirements throughout the year.

What Are The Costs To Participate?

Uniform and equipment costs for football are over $250  for each participant. There are additional costs of field equipment, officiating, insurance and other general costs. We have established a fair registration fee.

Due to the physical requirements of football, conditioning and teaching will be done at every practice. Practices are held every Wednesday and Friday Nights from 6pm- 8pm and possibly Sunday mornings from 9am- 11am. Our Flag Football teams will practice on  Wednesday and Fridays from 5pm- 6pm. Once school begins, practice will be only on Wednesday and Friday nights  for the entire league.

What Type Of Equipment Do The Children Get?

The league will provide full protective equipment for each football player along with game uniforms. The Helmet and shoulder pads will be returned to the league at the conclusion of the season.Tackle Football players will need to buy their own practice pants and jerseys, cleats and protective cup.

What Happens If The Teams Fill To Capacity?

Three Village Football limits the number of players per team to a maximum of 20 to maximize play time. If teams fill to capacity then players can be  put on a waiting list until a new team can be formed.

Why Do We Have Fund Raisers?

It takes a considerable amount of money to purchase equipment and run the entire program. For this reason we will need to participate in fund raising activities throughout the season. Our aim is to not burden the families with these activities but to provide carefully selected programs that are simple, rewarding to both the league and our participants, and provides a value to those who support our efforts.

Where Will We Play?

Practice and home games will be located at Percy Raynor Park off 347 in South Setauket.
